Do not play this song around spring breakers. I repeat do not. There will be alot of drunken Woo Hoo’s and probably a few “This is my jam’s” as well not to mention a new TV show called most likely Spring Breakin’ and Pregnant a year later. This tune is so sexy that I heard Snooki got pregnant just by hearing it…..and then proceeded to ramble off some expletives before passing out in her own vomit. See, this is what I’m saying. Fellas be careful! We don’t need another one of those running around. Play this only in the bedroom with your lady or your mp3 device. You don’t want the police knocking on your door with a girl you never saw before yelling “That’s him, he’s the father. He was the one playing Jai Paul” Now I am gonna post the tune below but be sure to check around you before pressing play to avoid any law suits. As for the women just be safe and use protection before hitting the play button. OK ready?……………..Did you check first boys? You may proceed but only if the coast is clear.

Check out the comments. I think at least two of them are claiming Jai Paul is the father!!

OMG I think I'm pregnant!! Me too!! Woo Hoo!!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

The Neighbourhood “Sweater Weather”

Here it is! I found it everybody. You can all stop looking now. This is the jam you’ve been waiting for. Get this into your mp3 player, car stereo, any and every playing device you own. Oh you want it brought you say?! The Neighbourhood has brought it and with a sexy soulful punch that will have you swooning and singing along like a teenage girl cracking on Bieber. Turn this shizz up to 11!!

Don't be embarrassed. Belt it out!

Body Language

Brooklyn outfit Body Language are lighting up dance floors across the world with their stellar and electric grooves that have been known to cure paralysis. Angelica Bess has the perfect throwback disco sexiness in her voice to kickstart your heart and the boys don’t sound too bad themselves either. They released Speaks ,their EP ,in 2009 and then piggybacked off that to release their full length Social Studies in October of last year. Chock full of numerable and affable hits to please any palate Social Studies is an album to just put on repeat at your next party. Equal parts laid back chill and grooving thrill it’s a can’t miss body pleaser. P.S. fellas, it also works very well in the bedroom if you know what I mean…….Do you? If not email at me birdsandbees@gmail.com for full explanation with pictures. The album also has some killer remixes by StarSlinger, Tiger & Woods, Plastic Plates, and Keep Shelley In Athens. I picked a couple of my faves off the album for your ears so go get on your jammies and/or Snuggie and cuddle up to Body Language. I also included a track off the Speaks EP called “Work This City”. When your done jammie-ing head over to their website here to buy their stuff and interact. They are also very talented remix artists in their own right so anytime you see a remix by them jump on it.

14th “Take Me There/Chimes”

14th is a Soul/Electronic/Pop duo from out of London consisting of producer Tom Barber and singer Tracey Duodo. “Take Me There” is there follow up to  ”Hide Yourself” their debut EP released last November. These two make up one hell of a sound with Barber’s beats and rhythm’s and Tracey’s amazing voice. You can dance, chill, or something in-between if you will. You can move and groove because the beat is so smooth or pop, lock, and even let the booty drop. James Joyce ain’t got nothing on me! Expect these guys to make a big splash in the Indie pool this year. I predict a Triple Lindy finished off with a cannonball type of entry. That big! Check ‘em out on the website here and buy the tunes here on iTunes. Boom! goes 14th(because they are gonna blow up, in the good way). Check the video for “Take Me There” and then “Chimes” off of “Hide Yourself”.

NZCA/Lines “Compass Points/ Okinawa Channels”

Synth(Cs-60) master Michael Lovett of London makes music under the name NZCA/Lines, which are  ancient geoglyphs from Southern Peru. Thank you Wikipedia. He has released these two tracks from the forthcoming self-titled album due out late February with the latest being “Okinawa Channels” and has positioned himself  for greater things based off of their success. “Compass Points” has elements of R&B washed over electronic melodies. “Okinawa Channels” has a bit more quirk to it but retains a sexy charm that reels you in and hugs you tightly. Perfect low-key party music. Keep an ear out for this guy! Check out the video for “Compass Points” below and buy his music here from iTunes.

Full Crate ft. David Simmons – Without My Heart

Ok we’re gonna slow it down. Soul it down in fact.  If you like Maxwell and D’Angelo then this one is for you. (I do! I do!)  Producer Full Crate and singer Mar are two young musicians from Amsterdam. They mix soul music and hip-hop with an artsy twist.  It’s the graphic design interpretation. A  mac book pro with lots of shapes and colors and cool fonts you didn’t even know existed.

Close your eyes and listen to this and tell me you thought he looked like this. You thought this was a new track by D’Angelo didn’t you? I fell off my chair when I saw him. No way did Spiccoli and Weird Al have a love child who has a voice like velvet brushed with gold. Chewelah, WA what’s up? That’s where he’s from. Didn’t think that either huh? Thought maybe Detroit(land of soul) or possibly L.A. or New York? NO you are wrong! Some little town in Washington state claims him. Go pour yourself some cognac, turn on the fireplace, get your favorite blanket and fall in love with his sound. Do it now!
