Jakwob is James Edward Jacob from London and he is a master craftsman of electronic ear pleasing, bass driven ecstasy. The Prize is just that. You actually feel as if you have been gifted something special when you hear it and you have. The album has collaborations from Ghost, Youngman, Kano, Roses Gabor, and 14th which add cred and sustenance to an already dynamic album taking the echelons of it’s reach higher still. I’ve followed Jakwob for a long while now ever since I first heard his take on Ellie Goulding’s “Starry Eyed” and Mr. Fogg’s “Moving Parts” and believe me when I say he has upped his game since then.
